1. Project Delivery Background: Barite Powder Line For Kenyan Oil Drilling Supplier

This full set barite powder grinding line is a customized turnkey project we delivered to a local mineral supplier in Nairobi, Kenya. The client has long been engaged in the supply of raw materials for oil and gas drilling in East Africa. Previously, they purchased finished barite powder from third-party traders, but the unstable supply cycle and high transportation cost have been restricting their business expansion in the regional drilling market.

After comparing multiple grinding schemes and testing their local barite ore samples in our factory, the client finally confirmed this medium-output grinding solution. We did not set the equipment at its maximum capacity of 5.5 tons per hour, but locked the daily stable output at 3 tons per hour. Keeping a moderate operating load can effectively slow down the wear of grinding rollers and rings, reduce the frequency of spare parts replacement, and lower the long-term operation cost for overseas customers.

Consistent with the working habits of most small and medium mineral factories in East Africa, the client adopts a two-shift 8-hour working system, with 1 hour reserved every day for equipment inspection and internal cleaning. Calculated based on 3 tons per hour stable output, the plant can produce about 48 tons of qualified barite powder every working day. The finished powder fineness covers 200 to 325 mesh, fully meeting the API standard of oil drilling grade barite powder.

2. Full Set Equipment Shipment & Factory Inspection Record

Before shipment, we completed full no-load test operation of all equipment in our factory, and checked the sealing of pipelines, wear resistance of core parts and operation stability of the control system one by one. All equipment was loaded and fixed on flatbed trucks in batches, and transported to the port for sea freight to Mombasa Port, Kenya.

The whole set of grinding line includes all supporting equipment from feeding to finished powder collection, and the customer does not need to purchase additional auxiliary parts separately. All wearing parts are delivered together with the main equipment as spare parts, so as to avoid the problem of long waiting time for overseas customers to purchase accessories later.

We simplified the operation logic of the PLC control cabinet, and retained only common adjustment functions such as start-stop, feeding speed and fineness adjustment.
