
1. Project Background: Self-Built Limestone Powder Factory For Riyadh Building Material Supplier
This large-scale limestone powder production line is a turnkey project we delivered to a well-known local building material supplier in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For a long time, the customer purchased finished limestone powder from third-party factories to supply local dry mortar and concrete mixing stations. With the continuous expansion of local infrastructure construction, the purchase cost and unstable delivery cycle of outsourced powder became more and more restrictive to their business development, so they decided to build their own on-site powder processing plant.
After on-site investigation of their quarry raw material and calculation of downstream demand, we matched a suitable high-pressure grinding scheme for them. We set the stable hourly output at 10 tons, instead of pushing the equipment to its maximum 16 tons per hour. Keeping moderate load can greatly reduce the wear speed of core parts, extend the service life of wearing parts, and reduce long-term operation cost effectively.
Consistent with the working mode of most local factories in Saudi Arabia, the customer adopts two 8-hour shifts every day, reserving 1 hour for daily equipment inspection, warehouse cleaning and lubrication maintenance. Based on 10 tons per hour stable output, the plant can produce about 160 tons of qualified limestone powder every working day. The finished powder fineness can be freely adjusted between 80 mesh and 400 mesh, fully covering the raw material demand of local building material factories and thermal power plant desulfurization.

2. Plant Configuration & Actual Production Technical Parameters
The whole plant adopts a tower-type integrated layout, which saves floor space and has higher conveying efficiency. All parameters are set according to the local high temperature climate and two-shift production habits in Saudi Arabia, without using exaggerated theoretical limit data:
Core Processing Equipment: YGM160 high pressure suspension grinding mill
Stable Hourly Output: 10 tons/hour (adjustable range 8-16t/h, depends on raw material hardness and target powder mesh)
Daily Qualified Powder Output: About 160 tons (16 hours effective production per day, two 8-hour shifts)
Daily Working Schedule: Two shifts per day, 1 hour daily downtime for inspection, cleaning and lubrication maintenance
Finished Powder Fineness: 80-400 mesh adjustable, online adjustment without stopping the whole production line

3.1 Moderate Load Design Adapts To Local High Temperature Climate
Saudi Arabia has high ambient temperature all year round. If grinding equipment runs at full load for a long time, the main bearing and transmission parts will overheat seriously, which will not only accelerate wear but also easily cause unexpected shutdown failures. We control the daily stable output at 10t/h to reserve sufficient performance margin, which can effectively reduce the failure rate and prolong the replacement cycle of wearing parts by about 35%.
3.2 Tower Layout Saves Floor Space & Civil Construction Cost
Different from traditional scattered horizontal layout, this project adopts an integrated tower design. All equipment from feeding, grinding, classification to powder collection are arranged vertically in layers, which reduces the floor space by nearly 40% compared with the same capacity scheme, and also shortens the material conveying distance and reduces unnecessary power consumption of the conveying system.
3.3 Fully Sealed Dust Removal Meets Local Environmental Requirements
The whole production line operates in fully closed negative pressure state, matched with large area pulse dust removal system. There is almost no flying dust in the production workshop during operation, which fully meets the local industrial environmental protection emission standards of Saudi Arabia. The customer passed the on-site environmental acceptance at one time after installation and commissioning.
3.4 Centralized Intelligent Control Reduces Labor Cost
The plant is equipped with a centralized PLC control room, which can monitor the operation status, feeding speed, powder fineness and equipment current of all links in real time. Only 2-3 operators are needed for each shift to manage the whole plant, which greatly reduces the labor demand of the production line and saves long-term labor expenditure for the customer.
